The Christmas Tree Is Up!

I put up the Christmas Tree tonight. I love Christmas. Ezekiel had a Santa hat on tonight and was walking around the house saying, "Ho Ho Ho!" It was very cute! I've put a few things around the tree for him to play with. We bought him this really cute Nativity Set last year and he loves playing with it & I also found these really cool stackable blocks that tell the Christmas Story in toddler language! Here's a few photos =)

30 Weeks Pregnant

I've been so slack this pregnancy. I think this is only the 3rd photo I have being pregnant the second time around! So I thought I'd better put it on here so people can see!

We took this photo a while ago, and as you can see, somebody desperately needs a haircut! =)

Dana's Birthday

We celebrated Dana's 12th birthday last Thursday night and we went out to Dad & Kath's for dinner. Ezekiel had a wonderful time playing on the trampoline with Uncle Zach & Miah. Here's some awesome photos that Loz took! Enjoy!

Working Bee...

Tomorrow we have a small group from church coming around our house to have a little "Working Bee." There are 3 men and 2 ladies coming over to help us paint Ezekie's new room, take down a border in Ezekiel's current room, which will become the baby's room. One of the men coming is an electrician so he's going to take a couple of lights & swtiches off the wall and we'll get the holes plastered over. They will also do some work outside, taking down some lattice and getting rid of overgrown vines. Greg, the small group leader called us up and told us they are coming around so make a list of the things we want done! It'll be a big help!

Then new cupboards & a cubing unit will be installed in Ezekiel's room next week hopefull so we can move him in there, which I've very excited about, because it means I can start to set up the nursery! Yay!

We just got a new washing machine 2 days ago and I love washing now! ha ha! I used to have a TINY little front loader that would take one king size sheet at a time and would take forever to do one cycle so now we've upgraded to the biggest washer you can get! I can do ONE big load that used to be 3 loads, so I'm very happy! I was able to wash all our king size sheets, pillow cases along with Ezekiel's bed sheets & there was still LOTS of room left, so I'm one very happy lady! ha ha!

I'm going to go and bake an Apple Crumble Cake now for afternoon tea for our guests tomorrow!

Later!

Not a bad night

Ezekiel went to bed last night at about 8pm and fell asleep without getting out of bed. He woke at about 3:30am and was standing in his room, so once I put him back he went back to sleep. Then I hear "Mum" at 6:30am this morning and I knew he was standing at the bottom of the stair case so he came up and jumped into bed with us. Not bad for his first night in his bed!

I hope this continues...

This morning Jeremy off one side of Ezekiel's cot. We'd been tossing up when to put him in a bed, dreading the thought of him getting out of bed during the day and at night. I thought it was about time to try it to see how he'd go.
Once we took off the side this morning he was so excited about his new 'bed' and wouldnt get out of it! he he...

I put him to bed his afternoon and sat beside him and read a story. I then went on to tell him that...'once mummy says 'go to sleep' he is not allowed to get out of the cot because he would get into trouble'...he wanted to take a golf ball to bed today for some unknown reason. Anyways, I left him in there and heard the ball drop on the ground. I peeked in to see if he'd get out of bed to get it but instead he was laying on his tummy, reaching to the ground to try and pick it up because he'd listened to what I'd said! I picked it up for him and went out again. The next time he sat up and was saying "Ball, ball, ball" but didn't get out of bed...I went in again to get it for him and told him he was such a good boy for not getting out of bed and 5 minutes later he was asleep! I had to go into wake him and he just laid in bed until I told him he could get out!

What a good start! I'm hoping that this will continue and it'll be nice and easy having him in a bed!

I've got a photo of what his bed looks like now the side is off.

It's a public holiday because of "Bendigo Cup," horse racing today, but Jeremy had to work. Mum took me out shopping today and we bought a new washing machine which I along with my mum are so exicted about! My wonderful mother often does a couple of loads of washing while she's over here looking after Ezekiel while I work!

We currently have a 5.5kg front loader washing machine that is TINY and takes FOREVER to do a load. I can only fit one king size sheet it at a time otherwise they dont wash properly. Tomorrow I will do my first load of washing in a nice 8.5kg washing machine that will be big enough to do all of our sheets! I think I'll actually enjoy doing the washing now!

Can't wait till Christmas! =)

.i.love.christmas.

...I LOVE CHRISTMAS...

Christmas is my favorite time of the year. I love it. I love it because of what it means to me. I love it that you get to spend time with family and friends. I love putting up our Christmas tree. I love playing Christmas music. I love exchanging gifts. I love people's delight as they unwrap their gifts. I love the good food Christmas brings. And I love my mum's Christmas pudding. I just LOVE Christmas.

I'm almost tempted to put our Christmas tree up before the 1st of December but Jeremy isn't so excited about that idea. What will he do if he comes home from work one day and the tree happened to be up?! I doubt he'd go to the fuss of putting it down again! =)

I have been strictly told that Christmas music will not be played before December 1st. I've already broken that rule. Zeke and I like to dance to "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree!"

Our Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd, has decided to give most families in Australia who recieve a specific tax type a one off payment of $1000 per child on December 8th this year. That will come in very handy to buy Christmas presents and also a few other things that we have on a long list of things to do around our house!

I already have a Christmas list of gifts to buy, all my wrapping paper & ribbon. I'm ready to go!

I have been really enjoying baking the last month and have been trying a lot of new recipes. I have discovered a Gingerbread Cake which is so delicious and reminds me of Christmas. Another one of my favorites is an Apple Crumble Cake which is divine too! Some other ones I've tried havent turned out so successfully but that's ok.

I have an Apple Crumble Cake baking as I write this post and it's almost done so I'm going to go and get it out of the oven....and maybe even eat some myself! =)

New Blog

This is a place for me to share my world with those who want to read.

It's 8:16pm right this very moment. I've just put Ezekiel down to bed and I can hear him chatting away to himself. Jeremy's out at a Buck's night and I've created this blog.

Life is great right now...Here are some of the reasons why...
I have someone who stands by me & loves me unconditionally. Someone who wants to sit and talk to me all the time and listens to everything I say. Someone who wants the best from me, cares for me and will always be there for me. Someone who died so that I may have life...
He is my best friend, Jesus Christ....Without Him I am nothing.
I have an amazing husband, Jeremy. Who loves me just for me.
I have an amazing son, Ezekiel Jaymz. He amazes me everyday & brings so much joy to my life.
I have another little baby boy on the way. He is due around the 28th of January, 2009
I great family and friends. I couldnt live without them.
I have a great house which is filled with all that I need.
The list could go on and on and on

I'm 27 weeks pregnant at the moment. I love being pregnant. Luckily, pregnancy agrees with me so I enjoy every moment of it. Everyday I am absolutely amazed that there is a little person growing inside of me. Kicking me at all hours of the day...and night. I am very excited about meeting this little person.
This pregnancy is very much like the pregnancy I had with Ezekiel. Although, I didnt like chocolate with Ezekiel and this time Smarties are my favorite thing! =)

I've a new hobby that I'm about to take up, thanks to Holly Hildebrant! I've been going crazy the last week looking up everything online to do with Quilting & making Baby Blankets! Holly is solely responsible for this because I read her blog often & have seen the creativity she has and the gorgeous baby blankets she's made along with a quilt for her son. It gave me some inspiration to try something new and let meself be creative, which is something I always tell myself I don't have. I called around a heap of places in Bendigo looking for basic quilting classes but with no luck, until I remembered that Mel Plambeck's mum's into quilting. I called her this morning and she's excited about showing me how to get started and even offered me a sewing machine! What a blessing! You'll be hearing about my quilting projects in the coming posts.

I went to a craft store today and bought some polar fleece material to make a no-sew baby blanket. It took me about half an hour and I love it! I think I'll be definately making quite a few more to give away as gifts.

I should end this post. I have to prepare for a Kids Church lessons tomorrow and think about how I'm going to encourage the church to give towards all the great things we are doing in India & Africa as a church. I also have to get some info on India for a meeting I have after church. If I dont do it now I'll be up all night!

Ciao!
